Owned and operated since 2014 by the Hayes family, Midland Pet Supplies (formally known as Midland Stock & Poultry Supplies) has now been in operation for over 40 years and has only changed hands 4 times in all those years.
We always welcome visitors so please drop in and say hello if you are passing by. The store is located at 95 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine (just across the road from Subway).

Meet the Team
Maddy
Maddy has been working at MPS since she was 16. She started off after school as a part-timer, adding Saturday shifts in when she was 18 and when the family took over the business in 2014 she became the full time manager. She has completed her Bachelor in Psychological Science, married her best friend, Chris, and had her first child, Rachael, all in the years following.
Maddy loves animals. She has grown up with at least one dog beside her at all times. She now owns 2, Millie the Kelpie and Piper the Blue Heeler.
5 facts about Maddy:
1. Her favourite movie is Finding Nemo (she is really a big child at heart).
2. She is a sweet tooth and especially LOVES chocolate.
3. She loves to travel and would love to go road-trip to Queensland with her family and visit Fraser Island and Whitehaven Beach again.
4. Her favourite colour is Purple.
5. She enjoys watching the AFL and local footy, and barracks for the Essendon Bombers..
Piper
Piper is Maddy's dog. She is a Blue Heeler who was born in 2016. She has very short legs for a Heeler but that doesn’t stop her from running around with her fur sister, Millie. Piper is a ‘big boof’ but a loveable and loyal dog. She is often referred to as a wombat, as that’s her body shape.
Piper loves food and will try to steal Millie’s food if she isn’t looking. She also loves chasing airplanes. Piper loves a good cuddle from anyone who is willing to give her attention, and tries to sneak inside the house to satisfy her never-ending needs.
